The emergence of new forms of work, the expansion of the rules of the social order, as well as the introduction of new technologies in the labour market represent a challenge and an opportunity for the capabilities of the Labour Inspection.
In this context, strategic planning appears as a fundamental tool to achieve results in line with the resources, objectives and competences of the Labour Inspectorate, which guarantees compliance with the rules of social order and the labour rights of working people.
With the aim of strengthening the Moroccan Labour Inspectorate, on 20 and 21 January a workshop was held in Rabat, organized by the ILO, for the exchange of knowledge and experiences in which representatives of the Spanish Labour Inspectorate presented the ITSS Strategic Plan.
On the 20th, Gonzalo Giménez, advisor of the Directorate of the OEITSS made a review of the different areas of activity of the agency while presenting the broad outlines of the Strategic Plan 2025-2027, ‘New working times, new ways of acting’.
For its part, Irene Marín, Assistant Director General for the Coordination of the Inspection of the Labor Relations System, deepened the process of elaboration of the aforementioned plan and explained how the priorities of the OEITSS agency were defined for its elaboration, how the consultations were developed with the parties involved - labor authorities, social agents and other administrations - and what evaluation criteria will be taken as a reference for the fulfillment of the lines of action included in the plan.
With this activity, the ITSS confirms its international vocation as well as its commitment to strengthening the institutions dedicated to the Labour Inspectorate in third countries, with the ultimate aim of promoting decent work.
