This Tuesday, the government has approved the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate Strategic Plan 2025-2027. This roadmap for the future of the organism supposes a increase in the number of Labour Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors, as well as Technical and Administrative Staff.
What’s more, it also has a Greater investment in technological improvements to make the ITSS a modern, transparent and citizen-friendly institution. As an example of this modernization, a new electronic headquarters will be created to facilitate the relationship with citizens.
The approved document is structured in Two axes containing 17 objectives. El first These axes focus on inspection activity and define a total of 10 objectives that cover individual and collective labour relations, the guarantee of the right to safety and health at work, as well as equality and non-discrimination or the objective of emerging employment without rights.
El second axis identifies the structural, organisational and operational measures that aim to make ITSS an effective public service, the methodology of which is increasingly requested by similar bodies in other European countries.
