The 9th Global Summit of the Alliance for Open Government (OGP), which has been held in Vitoria since last Monday and ends this Thursday, has brought together more than 2,000 representatives of governments, civil society and international institutions.
Through its Territorial Directorate in the Basque Country, the State Agency for Labour Inspection and Social Security has participated in the round tables and workshops most related to its field of public management, especially in the forums that have analyzed the demands of transparency, the protection of personal data and the challenges posed by the use of artificial intelligence.
This Global Summit was also attended by representatives of the Labour Inspectorates of some Latin American countries, such as Chile, with whom the Territorial Directorate has met in forums related to the protection of working people who use channels of denunciation.
The Open Government Alliance was born within the United Nations in 2011 and has since become a global community of government leaders and civil society advocates to promote transparent, participatory, inclusive and accountable governance. A total of 74 countries, 150 local governments and thousands of civil society organizations are part of this initiative. Spain has been a member of the Alliance since its inception and is also one of the countries with the largest number of regional and local representatives within it.
