The State Agency for Labour Inspection and Social Security participates in the first joint campaign of Labour Inspections within the Ibero-American Network of Labour Inspections (REDIBIT), focused on the sector of The construction.
REDIBIT brings together the inspection authorities of the Ibero-American countries, promoting the Exchange of experiences and technical assistance to improve regulation and regulatory compliance in the world of work.
This campaign, which will continue until 15 June 2026, supposes the beginning of the realization of homogeneous actions in the countries of the Ibero-American area, since, according to the provisions of the plenary assembly of REDIBIT in Santiago de Chile, held in October 2024, one of the objectives of REDIBIT is the promotion of a safe and healthy work in a sector of activity considered to be of common relevance in the States of REDIBIT, this being that of construction.
To this end, the OEITSS, as well as the labour inspections of the other participating countries, will carry out Different visits to construction sites, similar to those carried out in an ordinary way, paying special attention to Risks of falling height, sinking of land and entrapment of working people.
The data obtained from these actions will then be linked to the data obtained by the rest of the countries, for their treatment and analysis, in order to detect common problems and optimize solutions.
REDIBIT seeks to strengthen cooperation between national inspection bodies, train officials, develop joint strategies for monitoring working conditions and modernize inspection systems. In short, it pretends promote decent work in Latin America, Contributing to social justice and sustainable development in the region.
