Agents of the National and Local Police of Murcia , together with officials of the Labor and Social Security Inspection of this region, carried out last February an extensive device in an industrial area of El Palmar (Murcia), where irregularities in labor matters had been reported in a ship dedicated to the massive distribution of parcels.
The operation allowed to detect a 26 people in an irregular situation because they do not have a residence and work permitas well as the detention of 19 of them for serious infringements of the Aliens Act.
The previous investigation carried out by the National Police had detected the presence of a large number of people who could be in an irregular situation in Spain and who would be carrying out tasks of loading and distributing merchandise in Numerous transport vans.
The inspection visit to the warehouse of classification and distribution of parcel allowed the Labour Inspection of Murcia to act within the framework of the detection of the figure of false self-employed, leading to the result of investigating 120 workers for this possible irregular setting.
The investigation indicates that the deliverers worked in irregular conditions to meet the high demand for parcel delivery in this industrial area of Murcia.
